Access Unlimited's Easy Stow Generation II
The Easy-Stow Generation II is a simple and unique way to stow your manual wheelchair in a wide variety of vehicles. You simply deploy the lift and roll your wheelchair back, and the innovative and easy-to-use "duckbill" receiver on the lift clips to your wheelchair's docking device. You then press the "up" button, and your wheelchair is simultaneously raised into the vehicle and rotated to an upright position. The unit can lift wheelchairs of up to 60 pounds. Your chair is securely latched in place while you are traveling. The docking device is mounted close to the right side axle of the wheelchair and adds approximately 1 pound to the weight of the wheelchair.
The attachment device for the wheelchair is a blade mounted on the frame of the wheelchair which slides into a “duckbill” receiver that is attached to the lift. When you want to attach your wheelchair, you simply roll the wheelchair rearward towards the lift and the "duckbill" funnels your wheelchair into the correct position, then latches it securely in place automatically. To release, you press an easily-accessible lever, give your wheelchair a little push forward, and you are ready to roll!
Due to the fact that the wheelchair is stowed in a 90° rotated position, it is possible with many vehicles to leave the passenger side captain's chair in place. With certainEasy-Stow Information Resources
